Draw Me
My heart is not completely hardened
there is still softness hidden
sheltered by layers of pride
beneath ridges of fear
masked by resolve
My soul is not too far gone
there still remains a yearning
though it may be faint
tugging at my emotions
planting seeds unease
My mind is not closed off
it is filled with concern YOU will let me go
that I will no longer hear YOU
I am driven to find answers
to my many questions
My prayer is not made
looking for some quick fix
still trying to keep some small part of me back
or hiding my darkness
My cries are not sent up
desiring from YOU comfort
but rather YOU keep tugging
that it become more urgent
that YOU please not turn away
there is still softness hidden
sheltered by layers of pride
beneath ridges of fear
masked by resolve
My soul is not too far gone
there still remains a yearning
though it may be faint
tugging at my emotions
planting seeds unease
My mind is not closed off
it is filled with concern YOU will let me go
that I will no longer hear YOU
I am driven to find answers
to my many questions
My prayer is not made
looking for some quick fix
still trying to keep some small part of me back
or hiding my darkness
My cries are not sent up
desiring from YOU comfort
but rather YOU keep tugging
that it become more urgent
that YOU please not turn away
