    I am not an addict;
    I only enjoy the smoke's
    cloying scent that rises.

    I am not an addict;
    I only enjoy the bitter,
    metallic taste that lingers.

    I am not an addict;
    I only enjoy the growing numbness
    as I float above myself.

    I am not an addict;
    I only enjoy the rush of power
    with each hit.

    I am not an addict;
    I only enjoy the freedom
    I get from knowing I choose.
