    ~Dream catcher~

    The sun awakes and gives,

    Promise to brighter days.

    All unsavory dreams,

    Are caught,

    trapped at first light.~~

    My dreams unravel,

    caught in the catcher clench,

    All of the nights evils,

    Trapped in one bead,

    forever out of mind.~~

    The dream catcher longs,

    For the coming of first light,

    To burn off all evil,

    From slumber throughout,

    The night.~~

    Perched in the window,

    That faces the suns rise,

    Waiting with patience,

    For the first ray of light.~~

    Legends say the catcher,

    Harvest bad dreams of the night,

    Another dream caught,

    And cremated at daylight.~~

    I am not of indian origin .. but the Dream Catcher has always been fascinating to me. Something from the legends and lores of the past. I somehow always find a spiritual connection with them. Great write Jeff! ;)

    My old lady is a full blooded Indian..We have way to many of these hanging in our room...I think they grab my good dreams as well as my bad ones!!!

    This is simply a fantastic poem, I got lost in the feelings of it, being part american indian myself, I can really get into all the spiritualness of this write. Loved it---- Mary

    Jeff, Awesome Write...i love this write..it is very tribal...... at one time i was goin' to get a tat of a dream catcher w/a wolf comin' out of it...with tribal feathers/beads and the works....put it off for awhile...at least until school is out.. GR8 write..Namaste..Tierra @}-'-,- (10+ )

    o cool... I like this one... my dream catcher has blue and gold macaw feathers in it and I'm convinced it works... write on!

    Thanks mine was made by a friend of the chipawa clan..it has a owl claw, and a eagle feather hanging off it,,,I have had it for 15 years...Inkmaster
