    EXIT WOUNDS

     

     

     

    You lurk
    in the shadows

    darkness, hiding

    where even you

    recoil at the sight of

    what you are.

    You delude yourself

    with self perpetuating lies

    creating a maze

    even you

    find perplexing.

    How many victims

    to fill your need

    blood sucking

    from the hearts

    of those uncorrupted souls

    and leaving

    in your wake

    exit wounds

    a testimony to

    anothers misplaced

    trust.

    Your work here is most poingant and painful. I can see this as an indictment against self, an ex-lover or really anyone who has taken your trust and then cast it aside with indifference. So much bitterness and sorrow. Great work! tba
