Fate

Fate

The soft cloud of misery rolls over me
It caresses me like a lost lover
Breathing deeply fire seeps into my chest
Sharper as it moves into my soul
It mixes with hopes and dreams
Darkness wins this battle
There will be no light left
Lost in this nightmare
Surrounded by the fury
Red with black mixes and swirls
Torn open from the pain
My crimson blood seals my fate

very nicely writen i really enjoyed it the line caresses me like a lost lover was great could really feel what you were feeling

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
