Flying Free
Long wings of white
Glistening things of light
It being such a beautiful sight
So why does it have to fight?
Because of a freedom
Because of the sense
Of Rebellion
That they have to be there
Which makes the body so tense
We live for others
But they live for themselves
Each of us become caring mothers
To some other
They live to fly
They live to find
Some other kind
Up into the sky
What can we do
But watch them go
I wish I could fly too
But I don't have wings though
Figuratively speaking
I could have wings
But I don't have the opportunity
Just yet
Physically speaking
I could never have wings
I'd never have the opportunity
That door is set
Those beautiful wings
That could set me free
Come to me
In different things
In your loving arms
Your caring words
They've muted the alarms
My wounds you've cured
My little angel
I can't cage you
I can't imprison you
As they've done to me
If you want I'll set you free.
So you can be
What your dreams want you to be.
So, fly with the strength of your wings.
But I'll say
I love you
There are many things
I wish I could do.
But there is one thing
I can do
To tell you
That I love you.
