Fragile Dreams

Fragile Dreams

If you and I were anything
less than dreaming souls
Striving to reach our start
We would never have got this far
No reason for an end in dreams
we'll carry forth to greater times.

If you and I had never seen the world through
innocence. There would be no want to stop time.
Our eyes would pass each other by.

If you and I were even less than
tortured minds. Our souls could never find
the truth in which we hide. In dreams it
still remains an endless film in our minds.

The things I know from broken hearts
fall out of my hands. Flood beyond
my dreams. Did my knowing go too far?
Each and every fragile thought, is forever scared
relentless splinters I recall. I have never wanted more.

I know the days are dark and still we crawl
just for today is all. Just a single day we have to face
not our whole life. Just one day out of the whole of our lives.

a good write I liked it......................................................inkmaster

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
