On parade

On parade

I have drowned all my sorrows
And live with my fears today
I tear all my sutures.
And my scars are here to stay.

I am bound by tomorrow.
My past is a masquerade.
I fail all my trials.
And the Present is my fate.

I tear these thoughts away.

I raise all my questions.
I was bound by light
And you told me I was failing.
My wounded heart dies.

I tear these thoughts away.

When I walk away.
My life is forever.
