Grandmother
When I was a little girl you you watched after and cared for meand you always made my favorite dishes like your world famous
lima beans
When I was in my teens your wisdom and advice was
much needed
Even though it was appreciated a lot of it went
unheeded
When I was a young adult, your home was always open
and I was very thankful because I was always roaming
Now that I am a Grandmother too, failing is my
greatest fear
And I pray that I can be like you in my remaining years
My love and respect for you will always be
and you are still very wise in my view
I hope that as my granddaughter grows
She will love me as much as I love you
