Hey You

Hey You

Tables have turned; I’ve got no place to go

The fire went out your lust just crept slow

The leaks in your trust are bandages unkempt

The thoughts in your mind run blindfolded

Loves what I gave, you just reprimanded

Had a piece of your heart, now it’s gone in a dream

Passion once forgotten as sand

Forgotten city at hand, you had it all, but slept through

Maybe a second later, well meet again

Tragedy stricken, what’s abundance now

Had it all, want nothing for

Had her close, went elsewhere

Faces merged into cyclical emotion

Lungs burn with desire; no picture frame's holding

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
