  • BACK IN MOTION. I TOOK A YEAR OFF WRITING POETRY BUT RANDOM FEELINGS ARE BACK SO STAY TUNED. I JUST POSTED A NEW POEM 3 DAYS AGO CALLED WIFE. I HOPE YOU ENJOY

I Miss Love

I miss waking up in the morning next to love,
I miss love waking up next to me,
But I don't miss the lies, cruelty, and deceit,
For love didn't conquer you and me.

I miss rainy days when we needed each other,
Love, I dread the sunny days,
For the sunny days will turn to rain,
And the rain will help us work away from pain.

I miss the building block of devotion,
Trust, admiration, and honesty was my emotion,
My intentions are good, while yours is cruel,
But I haven't given up, cause love's a tool.

I miss love keeping me busy,
When first introduced, I was nervously dizzy,
Intoxicated like my first drink or drug,
Ever since, now I thirst and feen for love.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
