Poem Commentary

I was litteraly standing outside, just before it started to rain. I began to wonder what Gods plan was for me, for the millionth time; and then, it started to rain, and as the thunder roared, I could almost make out a voice, urging me to spread His word, and His name, through what I love to do most; write. And so, this poem, marks my commitment to that calling. Write about the Lord, for the Lord. He gave me this gift, the love of words, and so what better way to show him thanks, than to share this love of writing with the world, and spread His word while I am at it :)

I Stood

I stood,
Barefoot in the grass.
Lonely,
Searching for Your name.
Rain,
Poured from the skies.
A clash,
Words in the thunder.
A message,
Sent down from Heaven.
A gift,
Knowledge of my path.
A choice,
Accept or turn back.
My promise,
To follow Your lead.
My path,
To spread Your word.
To share,
Music, books, and poems.
A desire,
Never give up hope.
An answer,
Trust in You forever.

Thank you :D this Is probably one Of my faveorite pieces so far :)

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
