If Only I
The wind blew through the window I thought was closed.
So I checked to see, the night so bright; window shut tight.
Again the breeze may come, was it done?
What to do, to who and me too?
Back where we started when we first parted but different somehow.
Am I really alone, just a bag of bones scattered among the stones.
Crack in the mirror doesn't mean its broke, you can still see.
Could be the reflection and me just don't agree about what you want me to see.
We see what we see, we just don't always agree, you and me.
Look and hope it is there, listen and try not to stare.
How can I hope you see when it isn't there except for me to see?
I look without seeing, I see without looking but I'll never refuse to believe you see me.
