RACE
Ran a little farther today to see if the me I wanted to be would show up. Or a chore I so chose to ignore rose up to the door and more, made it seem as when I was poor, wood floor and wouldn't let me in the store door for some smokes.
Seen them go by, wanted to say hi but always must wait, hesitate, can't be late, except on a date.
Follow the list, let it take you through the mist which you find in your mind most of the time.
Get to the part, bless your heart, from which you must start to push a cart, if need be, you will see, maybe.
Spend a lifetime making sure everything is taken care of, barely.
All get their pay, quite fairly, except for the payee, hey wait, that's me.
All just to see how it would be for me to have a little company.
You expect some to come, more to go, BUT all of them?
Talking just doesn't have the same effect alone, so I sing.
Only get scared by the answer................ the knock on the door.
May look to be a way to see how I will learn to care for me.
Not alone, how could I miss it, not me you see for I was in the military.
Not to late, maybe I'll wait, but no I want to see
If I can fix the morrow, the sorrow and me.
