Just A Flash
Tears threatening to spill,
head throbbing mercilessly,
body aching painfully,
I sit here forgotten by all.
Alone in a crowded room,
I could be invisible to them,
for those who see me,
they number so few.
Tormented by the silence,
a look or word directed my way,
a flash of visibility,
leaves me hungering for more.
