    Unspoken Words

     So many things I want to say,
    that I feel will never be heard.
    No matter how I try to make you listen,
    you ignore all the hints.
    Seeing nothing of what's hidden beneath,
    not understanding there's much I can't say.
    You may hear the words I speak,
    but you can't fathom their meaning.
    You say you love me,
    and I think you do,
    but almost always I feel unheard by you.
