    Love Is Born

     Love Is Born

    Love is born of choice
    Set free it lives
    held captive dies
    Love takes hold the arm of hope
    to walk by faith the journey home
    Love is Life Creator Light
    creation’s strength and colour’s birth
    The power of darkness Love prevails
    conquering death hell and the grave
    Perfect Love casts out fear
    the door behind is closed
    Tried by fire is brought forth true
    Love made pure is perfect strength
    Given to freedom thru’ Mercy’s hand
    Love is born of choice.

    Like most of us we can relate to love and express what it does but we lack the ability to explain just what it is. I think love is what drives the poet it us and is always just beyound and behind our words. Nicely done, Renee.

    Thanks, bigguy! It's so refreshing to find other folks (poets)that truly grasp and understand the works of my heart.In my little world, people who should understand, just look at me like they feel sorry for a lost alien . This has been very discouraging through the years. It's been a huge hindrance and kept me from writing more than I do.But I've found so much encouragement and inspiration in this place. I guess poets just live on a different plane, and therefore, we seem to speak a foreign language that only poets can percieve. Anyway, thanks for taking time to read my poems and respond. It's greatly appreciated.
