    Poem Commentary

    Inspired by my daytime job in the Apparel Industry

    Love's Development

     Need to kiss a set of new lips
    You cringe feeling my touch,
    Like a mutilated sample.
    Torn but mended
    Relapse to repeat
    Built and stitched
    Like a garment too production
    To disregard or toss away.

    Plastersol my life together again.
    I wanted to be your
    Channel jacquard,
    But you left me
    Like a rejected sample
    Too many times.

    Now I cover my basis
    And flat lock stitch
    My life back together.
    New lips on the horizon
    Silluette drawings
    Burning hearts only
    Reconfirm to boundaries
    Set by the merchant
    250 blank styles this time
    Measured in sync
    With the holes in my heart.
