Making A Difference
When I look outside what do I see?
But a world that is fading before me.
There has to be more to life than the sights I have seen.
Lives shattered, hearts broken, I want to fly on eagles' wings.
Take me away to a peace unsurpassed.
Take me away to a love that will last.
Who are we, but a vapor in the wind?
Here today, gone tomorrow, does anyone ever win?
The sadness that darkens a stranger's eyes.
The pain deep within that lies.
Stranding a man in the pits of hell.
Another step in the deep end, a scream, as he fell.
Life is a tightrope of sorts a battle for the mind.
Is it better to be alone, than outspoken and kind?
I have found a strength that lies within.
A refuge of flowing waters cleansing my sins.
Now where do I begin?
It's kindness that will amount to much!
So open your heart and give it away.
You just might make a difference today.
