    Until the Day

    Lightening strikes with nettling degrees.
The wind roars in thundering seas.
Clothed in royal attire the flowers of the field dance.
Expanding life, one direction, for heat and its chance.

Neighboring cries heard a block away.
Yet children oustside continue to laugh and play.

Not for me and not for today.
It was nervy of me to break through the chains.

But the older I got I continued to feel the pains.
My heart unresponsive of good cheer while i pop the cap
    and drink the last beer.

I pawn my soul to the intoxication of lies.
Absorbing the defectiveness, insecurities, deep black
    skies.

Until the day love opens my eyes.
