    My Heart

My heart holds on, my heart just waits…

My heart is scared, yet contemplates.

My heart wants you, my heart needs thee,

My heart is pure, I hope you can see.

My heart’s been damaged, yes, it has scars.

My heart is guarded with bricks and bars.

My heart is innocent, but jaded, it’s true.

My heart’s only love will always be you.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
