    Poem Commentary

All I can say about this one is ... nothing sweeter

    No Sweeter

Amongst all the sounds in the world

    There is no sweeter sound

Then that of another heart beating next to yours

Amongst all the pleasures in the world

    There is no sweeter pleasure

    Then that of loving another

Amongst all the feelings in the world

    There is no sweeter feeling

Then that beloved hand sliding into yours

Amongst all the gifts in the world

    There is no sweeter gift

Then to be loved by another

    Glad that you liked it.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
