    Poem Commentary

Here is another on from my times recreating the middle ages on the weekends. Gotta love it, well anyways, I do.

Take a Step Back in Time

    Life in today's world
Can be so false and unkind
    When the mundane presses in
I long for days gone by

Back to times when Lady's were true
Men were Knights and chivalrous too
    Time when life was simple
    When life was adventuresome
With a quest or two for some

A time when Kings ruled the land
Lord and Ladies strolled arm in arm
A sense of loyalty and service was felt
And a low to a dragon from a Knight was dealt

    Oh, for such simpler times
    Oh, for such grander times
    To escape from the mundane
    Thank goodness it's the weekend
Let's take a step back in time.
