Pain Of Being Alone
It hurts unceasingly this loneliness
that surrounds me like an unbreachable wall.
Dark shadows hang forever over my heart,
encaged in bleeding steel.
No light of love to turn my night to day.
no warmth of desire to thaw this freezing heart.
Will this wounded love ever be healed?
Will loneliness fester forever?
Will I ever escape this need to love, and be loved,
touch and be touched?
I was born alone I’ll die alone,
in this world I shall remain alone.
Those I love return it not,
undesired and alien I remain alone.
Destined to be as I am; alone
never to find love again.
