Poeticon

You Poeticon
With one foot set deep
within this arrogant Earth.
The other melting
into the center
of the shadows
of the universe.
Put forth your hands
to the outer limits of our reality,
placing your heart
soul and spirit
into the vast dimensions
that lie between
Heaven, Earth and Hell..
Pull forth a new music
for all mankind to hear.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
