    PEOPLE IN MY HOMETOWN ~ THE GREATER BALANCE

    PEOPLE IN MY HOMETOWN ~ THE GREATER BALANCE

     People in my hometown
    Earnest to help one another
    Occasionally get together to share friendship
    Pray and mean it
    Love thy neighbor
    Everyone is kind

    Insists on feeding .. sheltering the homeless
    Never do we turn our backs on the needy

    Mystique exists .. southern comfort thrives
    Yankees are our welcome guests

    Hopes for good in all people
    Often trusts strangers
    Makes peace with enemies
    Enlightens
    Tourists greeted .. with a slow, southern drawl
    Ouachita River flows between our twin cities
    West Monroe/Monroe .. exult tranquility
    No human can deny our sincere hospitality

    Okay now this made me a bit jealous I have to say lol. Sounds like a wonderful town with a mood that the rest of us could really learn from.

    Now, now ... no jealousy allowed... lol... yes, most towns used to be this way a while back, before the *bot invasion*. Some towns still have semblances of vintage times.

    Thank you ginga! I'm glad you took the time to read the other side of the equation. I'm convinced hometowns will always have kind people. Isn't that why we call them hometowns besides the fact that we grew up in them ? SBear

    Loved it being a southern girl this was great even more so then if i wasn't great flow and rhythm you painted a grand picture for the reader and had me locked on every line from start to finish good job cant wait to read more of your stuff
