Poem Commentary

Written in taxi on way to home after perhaps hardest working day in my career...

Manifest

I’m suddenly blamed for the lyrics of mine.
Since they are about canabis and wine.
I mention some women that I’ve never met.
I yell for the freedom that I’ll never get.
My glorious losses, infamous wins…
I just try to fit many different skins…

I’m charged for the darkness of several songs.
For skipping the ding and for slip of the tongue.
For biting sarcasm and my tears out of place.
For constantly pawning my crown and mace.
For claiming that evil and good are the same…
I just play with words. And I worship this game.

I’m sentenced by swine since I’m casting my pearls.
I’m mostly a tramp (can be also an earl).
Don’t ask me my name, ‘cuz I have them a lot:
”Persona non grata” and Mister “So What”,
I’m “Reckon”, I’m “Poison” – a prodigal guy.
We’re all born to crawl. But I trust we can fly.

The eternal optimist with an imagination that bursts from the pen tip to entertain the readers. This swine enjoyed this pearl very much.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
