    Tired Angel

    My Tired Angel
A silent feeling is a rebel scream.
It can resign but it cannot retire.
    A pretty face… A picture on the screen…
My tired angel… Oh, you’re really tired.

Two parallels may meet. That’s not a quest.
We are connected even when unwired.
Then sorrow comes like an unbidden guest.
My tired angel… Oh, you’re really tired.

Don’t fool me by that fire in your eyes.
    It’s not a leading torch. It’s just a pyre.
You fly so deep, while I am digging high.
My tired angel… Oh, you’re really tired.

So who prefers the sky, my dear friend?
Who waits for help surrounded by mire?
We all are one. We walk from start to end.
My tired angel… Oh, you’re really tired.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
