    PSALM 46:10 "Be Still and Know That I Am God"

     Be still...
    Yet turmoil rages within,
    threatens to unravel
    the fragile state of mind.

    and know...
    Consciously, belief is there
    but forces stronger than faith
    rip and tear it apart,
    waging war against trust
    in my Higher Power.

    that I...
    At the very center of
    my being.
    A deep yearning for His comfort
    begins to enfold me.
    Tension slowly abates.
    Breathing becomes less labored

    am God.
    and I let myself rest in His arms.
    The sound of His beating heart
    fills me with peace
    and
    I am still and know
    that He is God.

    Wow what an extrapolation! It's interesting that no matter how mad, confused, disenchanted with life, disappointed with what God does (or does not do), We who believe always return to Him. Don't you think? I like.
