THE SAILOR OR THE SEA

Poem Commentary

Written after a very tumultuous week of dealing with an ailing parent.

THE SAILOR OR THE SEA

Sometimes You calm the sailor
and sometimes You calm the sea.
Lord, right now there's a tempest
that's raging inside of me.

The waves are tossing my soul about.
I'm lost. Without direction.
Lord, I need a captain
to give my soul protection.

Please take the anger in my heart
and help me set it free.
Lord, sometimes You calm the storm.
This time, Lord, calm me.

Sherlock, this is one beautifully written heartwarming plea that we all need to copy and save for our own stressful moments of life. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, Whiskers.

Thank you, Whiskers. This was written by God. All I did was put the words on paper. God bless you.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
