    Questionable PT. 1

I have a decision to make,
Not sure which direction to take,
With a fork in the road which is making me break.

I know on the surface I appear to be nervous,
That's just what being hurt did,
I'm still searching for my purpose.

Talk is messed up like I had a beer or two,
As I still pray for this miracle,
Wondering what good any fear could do.

The sign was there, yet I was still missing it,
    As I went soliciting,
Only one man was really there listening.

Not sure what I was running for,
But he knew what I was gunning for,
As the Devil answered me knocking on Heavens door.

I looked him straight in the face,
    As he stood in place,
Could I have the upper hand even though he holds the ace?

    TO be continued...

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
