    The Escape PT1

I've had control of this pen for what seemed like years,
Now the ink is running on the paper like my cheeks under tears,
What I wonder fears me if only I could see clearly,
Everything that I hold dearly will barely come near me,
My eyes burn through the reflection from this screen,
Trying not to scream but can't awake from this dream,
No matter how fast I fall or how hard I land,
I cannot shake the memories like the skin from my hand,
I have nothing to demand but I can barely stand,
Of all the times that I ran I have no idea where I am,
I'm cautious, but the world is spinning making me nauseous,
We can not be contained it seems like the world has lost us,
I'm on this backward journey, can't find where I'm going,
Stuck looking at where I came from, missing something that's showing,
I'm slowing, down is opposite of growing,
Still not knowing exactly where I'm going,
This world is a cemetary just filled with death,
Like I'm being held back I can feel Death's breath,
With nothing else left, I know it's right that I accept,
Except with one last attempt after 25 years,
I escape this mess as my cries fall upon deaf ears......
