SIMPLE THINGS
Sometimes it seems – we have all forgotten the simple things;
Like rainbows and butterflies - sunshine and clear blue skies;
A long walk on a country road – sitting by the pond with your fishing pole;
The innocence in a small child’s smile -these are the things that make life worthwhile.
And -
Yes – sometimes it seems – we have all forgotten the simple things;
Like walking in the rain holding hands – strolling down the beach barefoot in the sand.
And drinking coffee in the morning light – sitting on the porch swing late at night.
Oh ---
Let’s not forget the simple things – and the pleasures that they bring;
The sound of a summer rain – running down the window panes;
Snuggling up with a good book and listening to a winter rain on a tin roof;
The sound of children’s running feet; their laughter makes life complete;
And -
Sitting in the shade of that old Mimosa tree – life is so full of memories.
Some are just – life’s simple things!
