Skinny

Skinny girls
are all i see
and i always think:
i hate me

I hate my legs
so gross and thick
I smile pretty
but it's a trick

Behind doors
i shed the lies
showing instead
what i harbor inside

A broken heart
A poisoned soul
A hateful self
who's on a roll.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
