Snow Gutter

Rain falls through the heavy snow borders
My eyes are twisted in glazed relief
Release comes to me in the form backward hands
Snotty noses and tissue period rags
Melting in the hands of another I seek solace
Solitude withstanding all doubts of God
Gods laughing in spite of spit and fallen trees
Collapsing to the Earth in one final reverie

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
