Sound of Thunder
Love and how it can be blind.
You keep saying,
That you love me,
And in my arms,
You want to be.
So I keep sending,
You those flowers,
But in your heart,
It is not me you see,
I feel like a stone tower.
Standing ever still,
And pointing high,
Seeking refuge from the pain,
I lock my emotions,
In its sides,
Honey, have you ever heard,
The sounds of thunder,
In the distance,
As it roars,
Have you felt,
The heat of lightening,
As it strikes,
Outside your door,
True love is like a candle,
Oh, it flickers,
And it burns.
And like the seasons of our lives dear,
From its lessons, we can learn.
Well I am tired of wondering,
Just what it is,
That I have done wrong.
I am trying to get my life together,
Because maybe someday dear,
Someone else might come along.
But until then,
I will keep hiding in this tower,
Fighting hard to hide my pain,
And I will pray silently,
In hope, that you may change.
You keep saying,
That you love me,
And in my arms,
You want to be.
So I keep sending,
You those flowers,
But in your heart,
It is not me you see,
I feel like a stone tower.
Standing ever still,
And pointing high,
Seeking refuge from the pain,
I lock my emotions,
In its sides,
Honey, have you ever heard,
The sounds of thunder,
In the distance,
As it roars,
Have you felt,
The heat of lightening,
As it strikes,
Outside your door,
True love is like a candle,
Oh, it flickers,
And it burns.
And like the seasons of our lives dear,
From its lessons, we can learn.
Well I am tired of wondering,
Just what it is,
That I have done wrong.
I am trying to get my life together,
Because maybe someday dear,
Someone else might come along.
But until then,
I will keep hiding in this tower,
Fighting hard to hide my pain,
And I will pray silently,
In hope, that you may change.
