Dancing in the Moonlight
by The Quail 1957, Dec 23, 2008
Sometimes we have to reach within ourselves to find what we are truly seeking.
Once upon a summers eve,
The moon did shine on high,
Stars dance and twinkled,
Up in the midnight sky,
I held your shadow in my arms,
I stared into your eyes,
As we danced across the way,
The moon began to sigh,
The animals within the forest,
Sang softly on the breeze,
Lending to us their emotions,
As we raised and fell,
Like the waves upon the sea,
Deep inside emotions rise,
Hearts now beat as one,
Neither wanting to let go,
Our dance has just begun,
The angels sing in unison,
As stars bring to light,
Two silhouettes dancing,
Within the bright moonlight,
