Prayer of a Son
Does anyone know?
Where a mother's love goes,
When the angels,
Come and take her soul,
Is it true?
Or am I a fool,
That I still believe,
The way I do,
Sometimes late at night,
I sit in the darkness,
Beneath the moonlight,
I call your name,
But you do not hear,
I reach for you,
But your not there,
I keep my feelings,
To myself,
I put my heartache,
Upon a shelf,
In the confines,
Of the quiet room, I cry,
Does anyone know?
Where a mother's love goes,
When the angels,
Come and take with them,
Her loving soul,
Is it true?
Or am I the fool,
I still believe,
The way I do.
Where a mother's love goes,
When the angels,
Come and take her soul,
Is it true?
Or am I a fool,
That I still believe,
The way I do,
Sometimes late at night,
I sit in the darkness,
Beneath the moonlight,
I call your name,
But you do not hear,
I reach for you,
But your not there,
I keep my feelings,
To myself,
I put my heartache,
Upon a shelf,
In the confines,
Of the quiet room, I cry,
Does anyone know?
Where a mother's love goes,
When the angels,
Come and take with them,
Her loving soul,
Is it true?
Or am I the fool,
I still believe,
The way I do.
