THANK YOU
You invested me with loveand with a sense of my own worth
even though you weren't actually there at my birth
You invested time and patience,
much laughter and some tears
as you loved and nurtured me
through my growing years
you gave me a stable family,
a father and a mother
and later when they came along,
two sisters and a brother.
well, now i've got my own kids
and I hope I do as well as you
'cos being a good parent,
is very hard to do!
and if my kids should turn out,
the way I hope they do
I know that in some great part
that that is thanks to you.
so from the bottom of my heart
I want to say "thank you".
