    Poem Commentary

I didn't know where this one was going, it started off being about the persistence of memory, then became organic; a jumble of words that wandered off and came out somewhere other than where they started!

    time

Life at times is so unreal,
thati'm no longer sure just what I feel.

time flies by(where HAS it gone?)
and all things everywhere seem to move on.

Children grow (oh how they do grow)
and go on to high school
outgrowing kiddy slide and paddling pool.

Where oh where did eleven years go?

Proud tear in a mothers eye.

scruffy boy to smart young man
(amazing difference a blazer and tie!)
    outpacing, by far, parents' plan.

    smiling, going out the door
     and she cries.

'Cos her baby's not her baby anymore.
