    i just wanted you to hold my hand
    even when we're with your friends
    was that too much to ask?
    i just wanted to feel the love
    not just hearing words
    was i being a pest?
    i just needed to feel your lips
    not just your finger tips
    was that a huge demand?
    i just needed you
    to be there honest and true
    was i asking too much from you?
