When Love Truly Awakens

It feels like, the chill of the air across my bare skin
It burns and yet it feels so good to feel it
How it lights my soul, to stare into your eyes
To look upon you with such adoration, silently thanking Him
For crafting you just for me on his busy schedule
My heart beats continually, and powerfully everytime I hear your voice, kiss your lips and tell you what you mean to me

My blood quickens when I lie down with you
Making love to you is so much more than beautiful
It verges on being holy and pure, something that only could be
with the one I love
I fear for you when you are outside of my grasp
Wishing that I could be there with you in case you need me to be
When you hurt, my body agonizes with you
The tears you shed, I shed with you, because your pain is mine to bear

Just saying your name, its a soul-shattering experience
The very letters which rolls freely from my lips makes my spirit
Soar high into the heavens, and that all in the world is right
When you stand by myside
On your lips, are the names of my children
Upon your bosom, are the things that will make my home as beautiful
as you are the one I share it with

Though the sounds of gunfire , and death that will lay around me
as I fight the battles of the world each day
Its every night, I look at you and I know that I do what I need to
So that you're safe
Be it against one or one hundred
My will is to love you, cherish you and protect you.
I will fight for the right to live, but for you, my life is but a small thing that I can give
And so I would die at the muzzle of the Rifle, the blast of a mine or under the heat of the desert sun
And in death, I would wait until God gave you to me again

I could never forsake you for another
Even if I had a string of lovers, they could never be to me as you are
Their bodies are like junk trinkets: lovely to be looked at but worth nothing
My body is yours
Even as a man, I will stand strong as I should, but to you, in love I will submit to you my love and emotions
Know that I value you above any man made thing
Swiftly I would fly on the wings of Eagles
Silently plunge to any depth or run any depth
If it show you that love exists within my soul to such a powerful extent
that not even death and hell could hold me from being with you

So now, even now as I gaze into the midnight sky
watching stars innumerable, I remind myself that this is what God meant for me
So stand fast my love and read these words with care
Just know that I am always here
and when you see these words etched in your heart as they are in mine, you shall know that this love is as true as God meant it to be.
