    Poem Commentary

    yup

    wheres my hoodie

what happened to the days where i stood out from the crowd
the days when i didnt talk,my mind was the only thing that was loud
the days where noone knew i had a face cause it was hid by my hoodie
when i would take the judgement ignore it instead of tryna change to a goodie goodie
i remember me i dont know who i am now
a guy whos quick to smile wow
thats not me respect is givin where its needed
if its not genuine then no need in tryin they can keep it
when did i give up my hoodie for a button up shirt
will never wear tight jeans rather wear a skirt
i guess now im finally found and back on track
keepin my head lookin up to god and stayin myself thats a fact
    -gods son

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
