A Better Tomorrow

A Better Tomorrow

Then she cries tears of sorrow
she can't even hope for a better tomorrow
Because, what is the point of life without him?
It goes against her every whim
She cackles evilly at the sky
"Give me your worst!" but came no reply
cuz she had already seen the worst
The pain of it had nearly caused her to burst
So slowly the pain may drive her insane
cuz she knows there's nothing to gain

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
