Only Seeing
Your name resounds slowly
Throughout different layers of shame
Each individual faulting themself
With only you to blame.
A double-edged blade
Can hurt, as well as heal
The knife twisting in her gut
Just makes it all too real
A wicked hearts desire
Another slowly clenched fist
These tears fall down upon her
Seeping through the mist.
An ironic pun, her scarlet letter
Surging through her being
Numbing off her senses
Not defending, only seeing.
