    Alabama Meadow
    In this place
    Where it's warm and soft
    Where God's breath breathes
    And troubles are not
    A hidden life
    Made simply for me
    I pray a prayer,
    Then sleep on the leaves

    In this place
    I befriended the clouds
    And they make a shadow
    I'm under right now
    I built a fort
    There in the trees
     And whisper my secrets
    Till the moon I shall see

    In this place
    The butterflies sing
    The squirrels are jealous
    'Cause they don't have wings
    The daisies all sparkle
    And the stars wink at me
    In this Alabama meadow
     I am set free

    Fantastic. So dainty and joyous, makes me want to be in that meadow right now! I particularly loved the couple of lines containing pairing verbs and nouns ("breath breathes" and "pray a prayer"). Simple, but unusual, little trick that works really rather well. Well done Hannah :)

    Interesting theme...the meadow.......you and I find a specialness in a place of splendor, whether it be an escape from reality, or just a place to meditate.............beautiful, indeed......................gogant

    Very nice, realistic, and a true essence from the heart. Everyone seems to have a special place they love to go in solitude of reminiscence and just to see with no fears near. Great Job!
