Where Did You Go?

Poem Commentary

Wrote this as a song in my head. Hopefully it translates to a poem as well. :)

Where Did You Go?

In the night
I felt you near
Though you're away now
I still hear
Every word
You said to me
And now I say
Please don't leave

Where have you gone?
You could follow me
I'd lead you home
We'd stay in between
These hollow walls
You built for me
Oh dear, please

Well I don't
Like being weak
But just for you
I'm on my knees
For in my head
You're all I need
Should I believe,
in the thoughts?
In these dreams?

Where did you go?
You needed space to think
You love me so
I'm so glad you see
All the stars
That led you back
Back to these walls
You built for me

Lyricism is a great talent to have, especially when the darkness of night comes calling. A nice song [if you write a melody for it].

It does sound like a song. It is sounds mystical. 10 from me:)

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
