    Did You Know?

    Did you know
    That the brilliant light
    Emitted from your solar plexis
Is my only comfort in the darkness
    Called life?

    Did you know
The the sorrowful hymn you sing
That echoes off the boundaries of my soul,
    As I envision your smile,
Is the soundtrack to my life?

    Did you know
    That with every soft whisper
That escapes your lips in the still of night
I feel the presense of your divinity
Which has into me breathed life?

    Did you know
That every time your eyes meet mine
I envision the universe within them,
    Scattered nebuli and shooting stars,
Which leads me to ponder the source of all life?

    Did you know
That as your fingertips graze my shoulder
I feel a deepened awareness of my center,
And my chest cavity fills with desire,
That you are the secret center of my life?

    Did you know
    That despite my composed exterior
You have awakened a turbulent tempest
And I wish I could relay to you
How your love has affected my life?

    Did you know
That when I am with you
All my despair floats away with gratitude
And for the first time I feel real joy,
For you've shown me the meaning of life?

    Did you know
That when I say I love you
That these are far much more than words
    For dictionaries could not define
Even my weakest feelings for you
    In this or any life?

insane. i love the way you bring it all back, nicely done.......and it makes you see what your writing clearly

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
