Family

It’s really hard to live with family no matter whom,
I get treated like dirt and they’re quick to assume!
Try to get along, but it’s never enough!
Try to keep to yourself, but it’s just as tough.
I’m family but a complete stranger to them?
And the strangers are more than family to them?
How ridiculous is that? I get tired of being treated like this.
I wonder if there’s anything I miss!
I feel like a dim-witted fool.
But they are the ones that break the rule!
It’s getting tiresome to heed!
Making me look like the bad little seed!
Always wishing to never look back!
Always praying for a peaceful little shack!
I refuse to feel the hate!
But expression would only worsen my state!
What choice is there for me?
None can comprehend, not this family!!!
Being family shouldn’t come with a price!
Just because you think you’re being nice…
Being family shouldn’t always be a judgment!
Playing the roll of God with the plea of innocent?
Money….will it buy you a soul?
Being rich…will it make you whole?
Answer me! Oh, tyrant one!
Tell me! What you’ve done!
Family is whom you choose!
If I am not one, then you lose!
