Sometimes

Sometimes

Sometimes it’s hard to speak

And the words are hard to say.

The pain it makes me weak.

The feelings go astray.

Sometimes it’s hard to feel

And numbness just seems routine.

At times, I imagine how unreal!

It’s a movie plot and just a scene.

Sometimes it’s hard to know.

How love can just sacrifice?

The deeper, the love can grow,

The more painful are the cries.

Sometimes it’s hard to think

And how these thoughts can kill!

The soul resting seem to sink,

The peace and warmth turn chill!

Sometimes it’s hard to cry,

When the tears inside badly burn.

These are moments, I would rather die!

And my heart would be satisfied just to yearn…

Sometimes I’m at lost

I can’t always find my way.

Maintaining sanity at any cost!

That’s just me from day to day.

Sometimes it’s all too much,

But there’s nothing I can do!

Always longing for that touch,

That can only be filled by you.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
